Brownies

Brownies

Over the years there have been so many brownie recipes that my oven has had the pleasure of baking and I can honestly say that we’ve never had a bad brownie experience ever.

But this one deserves special mention simply because of the ease in making. https://www.kannammacooks.com/fudge-brownies-recipe/ The original recipe is from Suguna Vinodh of ‘Kanamma cooks’ fame. She delights people all across the world with her easy recipes and delicious home cooked fare and has won the hearts of everyone who follow her blog.

At one point in time I did wish for my own blog to get as popular until I realised how much more work went into what she does. It takes a tremendous amount of time and hard work and must be applauded. So when she shared this brownie recipe on her IG feed during lock down, it looked too good to pass up.

For almost a decade now we don’t use refined flour or sugar for baking .It  is therefore an automatic choice for me to use alternative flours and natural sugars. In no way do I suggest that our choice is healthier or better, it is just each to their own.

This recipe does not warrant the need to pull out heavy equipment, all it needs is a hand held whisk and a spatula which makes the washing up so much easier . I am not sure how long brownies last in your home but here they can vanish in the twinkling of an eye. I said ‘can’ …I do try various techniques (new hiding spots) to ensure it lasts a few days.

And that’s precisely why a recipe like this comes to the rescue even when time is in short supply !

Here’s to a joyous December.
